EXPANSE divides the plane into a grid and extrudes each cell of the grid into cuboids of various dimensions.

Each face on each cuboid is colored based on its slant, relative to a light source. Laws of illumination turn this geometrical relation into a numerical value which is subsequently mapped to a location in the color space, giving each face its color

With the shapes and colors so tightly linked, by using repetitious rules when deciding upon dimensions and slants, chromatic patterns and tendencies emerge as well.

On January 3rd, 2023 the first two works Pearlescent & Kaleidoscope were auctioned by the artist. All works were minted on the artists own smart contract & auctioned on Manifold with a min reserve price at 30ETH.
